La Nube STEAM Discovery Center is proud to welcome Crystal Saavedra as Director of Sales and Marketing. In this role, Crystal will lead efforts to strengthen the museum’s community presence, grow strategic partnerships, and expand audience engagement across the region.

At La Nube, she will oversee brand development, partnerships, and revenue strategy with a focus on positioning the museum as more than a destination for learning, but as a vibrant community space where culture, creativity, and experience come together.

A proud El Paso native, Crystal brings extensive experience in public service, communications, and strategic leadership. Before joining La Nube, she served as Deputy Assistant to Mayor Johnson for the City of El Paso, where she played a key role in advancing city initiatives, supporting economic development efforts, and shaping communications strategy. Her career also includes experience at the White House and working alongside Vice President Kamala Harris, giving her a strong foundation in leadership, public engagement, and relationship building.

Crystal is known for her people-first approach and passion for storytelling, community connection, and creating meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact. She is deeply committed to elevating El Paso’s narrative and building opportunities that reflect the spirit, talent, and potential of the Borderland region.

Outside of work, Crystal is an avid triathlete who enjoys post-coffee runs and spending time with family and friends.
