The Math Room is a welcoming, hands-on space where visitors of all ages can explore math through play, puzzles, building, and discovery. Designed to encourage curiosity and creativity, the space offers open-ended activities that allow visitors to experiment, ask questions, and discover math in their own way. There are no worksheets or right answers, just opportunities to experience math in a fun, relaxed setting.
The Math Room is made possible through a partnership with MathHappens, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating meaningful math experiences outside the classroom. Founded in 2014 in Austin, Texas, MathHappens partners with museums, libraries, nature centers, and other public spaces to bring hands-on exhibits, interactive materials, and programs to communities across the country. Their mission is to make math visible, accessible, and fun for everyone.
